This dashboard summarises a systematic review of deleted-elector records drawn from the State's adjudicated deletion lists. Figures are recalculated from the current prepared Assembly Constituency (AC) files at every generation, so this page describes how those figures are made.
Workflow
- Deleted-elector records are obtained from the official deletion lists and separated by Assembly Constituency.
- Each and every EPIC number is then checked against the Election Commission of India (ECI) portal for its current status. For valid EPIC numbers the portal returns the applied / not-applied status along with other details.
- Because the digitised source data contains transcription errors, a number of EPIC numbers do not resolve as valid on the portal. Every EPIC that returned a “tribunal appeal not done” result is therefore put through a validation pass inside the ECI portal. EPICs confirmed as valid are classified as not applied; the remaining invalid entries are validated manually against the deletion rolls published by ECI.
- Appeal status is grouped as appeal on record, submitted offline, no appeal on record (NA), pending, or not applicable. Tribunal results are grouped as approved, rejected, or awaited.
Demographic reporting
Gender and religion charts are aggregate counts from valid source records. Blank source values are shown as Not recorded. These categories describe source labels, not independently verified identity, and must not be used to infer an individual’s religion, gender, eligibility, intent, or legal position.
Limits of interpretation
Counts are operational indicators, not findings of fact. A pending, NA, unmatched, or unresolved result can reflect incomplete source data, timing, a data-entry variation, a portal response, or a record requiring human review. Always inspect the underlying official record and case file before relying on a figure in legal, media, policy, or advocacy work.
